Michael Ingemann shares commentary on Michelin Guide with Samvirke

Updated: Sep 8

Michael Ingemann was featured in an article in the Danish magazine Samvirke in May that looked into the often perilous financial impact for restaurants gaining a Michelin star. The article came after a similarly angled article in The Economist, and Michael confirmed his experience that in highly competitive restaurant markets like New York, London or Copenhagen, a single Michelin star is rarely enough for a restaurant to stand out – but can often drive up costs and expectations among both guests and staff, impacting the bottom line significantly.
