I am Doner, the better takeaway kebab brand, which is backed by Think Hospitality, scooped the sustainability award at the British Kebab Awards.
The brand, which has two sites in Yorkshire, went plastic free with its takeaway packaging and drinks range last year and was recognised in parliament for its work. Since then it has worked with suppliers to reduce incoming plastics, and has reduced the percentage of its waste going to landfill by more than 90%.
